What your giving pays for
Room hire covers the building. Everything else is paid for by people who live within a mile of the door.
The after-school club, the transport to the senior circle, and the kitchen appeal are all funded by gifts. None of them would run on hire fees alone.
Alpha Community Center, Inc. is a registered nonprofit. A receipt for your records is issued for every gift, and one summary receipt for the tax year goes out each January.
$25A place at Saturday supper for somebody who could not otherwise come.
$100A morning of an electrician, of which the building needs many.
$500A new convection oven door, and the hall passes its inspection.
